Default 1990 lumina euro fuel mileage problem

Hey guys I think I have a slight problem not sure exactly. I have a 1990 Lumina the car only has 35,000 original miles on it. It was baby around by my grandmother for 20 years now fluids were changed on a timely basis (not by miles) when I got the car it needed new injectors replaced all and threw in a new coil pack (only one) after this was done the car smoked like crazy (like blown head gasket from carbon build up finnaly took care of that and everything is running fine except when I start it up in the morning let warm up for 3-5 min and back out of my drive way at idle speed it trys to bog down and die and then jumps back up to idle and runs like a dream for the rest of the trip to work <does the same thing when I leave work also. I am getting around 20-22 miles to the gallon on the way to work (55mph with 5 stop lights) and have seen 33mpg on the highway once but varies some times I think it goes to 27mpg (at 70mph). what do you guys think is this normal mpg's and what do you suppose the bogging is air, fuel,or torque converter.

Well as you are telling that your 1990 lumina is 20 year old and you have make so many changes but still its not good mileage and also not giving too much carbon. so i think you need to check the fuel coiled again and also your car need a complete service. but i don`t think so that your car will give you very high mileage as you are expecting.
