My car wont start right away, it cranks and after a lot of cranking it will finally fire up. Once it has been started, it has no trouble starting up again shortly after it was turned off. Any ideas of what it could be? I'm thinking something with the fuel pump or something along those lines, but I also thing it could be the spark plugs? It's also winter, if that makes any difference, and I didn't have this problem when the temperature was warmer, but granted I didn't own the car very long when it was warmer.

It might be that the "spare" key is not properly coded in to the Anti-theft system on the car. Some cars have something in the key that speaks to the alarm system and tells it that it is OK to start the car. Talk to your local dealer about it and he should be able to help you!!
