Hi to all!
Im new to this forum. This is my frist post. I have a problem with my Bravo 1996. It is 1.6 16v SX machine (the best engine, so I've heard). One day, the car just stopped working, without any previous symptoms. (Before breakdown the engine was runing 100% normal). After engine inspection (we tested fuel pump, sensor and coils) we found out that the ECU is not givin out information onto injectors. (ECU gives the plus+, but it is not sending minus- out) so the injectors cant open and give fuel to cylinders. Also, the spark is not present. We tested fuel pump and it worked if we put + and - on it. Is this a ECU failure? (last summer I replaced 2 injectors, so the injectors should be fine). Help!! --> |

More than likely the security ring just behind ignition intermittent circuit break. If this breaks then it wont ID the key properly and stops you from starting the engine.Fairly common on a 1.6 I believe - try Searching for more info.
Can't see it being the ECU. |
