Default Fixing the scratches?

Hello i got a black chevy cobalt, however i scratched it when i was pulling out of the driveway against the coner of the house. There are big dents and scratches on it. I'm only worried about the scratches, so i was wondering if there are anyway i can fix it at home(cheap), i recently spent $1300 on the suspension, so i'm really broke and i need to get it fixed asap so it doesnt lead to rusting the rest of the car. I heard some people just spray paint and polishes it, and it'll be good as new, but i wasnt sure. Please let me know if you have a thought or an idea. Thanks.

Hello! I would not advice to spray paint on your scratches and polish the surface, it is what my friend done. And you know what? he is trying to remove it now with turpentine!!! the black paint he bought did not match with the original black paint on his car. I would go to professional restore... if even it costs 2000 euros in our area. But professionally restored car is very different to the one with cheap DIY. And anyway you would need professional tools to polish, you would do good job with just your own hands. Good luck!

Thumbs up

Hi all,
I own a 2005 Lincoln town car. Recently, someone ran their bumper into one of my door panels and now there are deep scratches in it. I bought a kit for fixing scratches. It came with epoxy which is used to fill in the scratches. However, the sandpaper they included in the kit puts scratches in my car when I try to wet sand the hardened epoxy down to its correct level.
