I own a Saab 93 ARC 2.0T (US model) which shows “Steering Lock Malfunction”.
I am a little bit confused. The car is in for a repair, and started previously, also at the workshop (the battery went down to zero, if that matters) but now all off a sudden this message appears and the car can’t be started. The repairman says that the Steering Column Lock must be broken!? The repairman does not admit any vandalism in this regard (therefore I have to pay for the repair). What is confusing me is the following: Could this have been broken prior to being brought to the shop? Would one have to apply a large forces to brake such lock? I know that I am asking a lot of questions, but all answers will help me to ****yze the problem and figure how to handle it. Best Regards, Axel V. Hilmarsson, Iceland P.s. there is not much help to have here in Iceland as there are almost no cars of this type on the island. Last edited by axel.hilmarsson; 04-20-2005 at 03:12 PM.. |
