Default 2 C900 q's

Just bought a bargain G-reg (1989) 900S. £165 and it's pretty mint apart
from a ding on the wing. 5 months MOT and a JVC CD player too :-)

2 Questions - It's a 900S 16V Catalyst. Not seen one of these before. Seems
to early for a cat-equipped UK spec car ?

Also, what's the largest tyre size that can be safely used on a standard
900S? The car came with fondmetal alloys with newish Michelin Pilot 205
tyres on them. They don't stick out, but the rears rub when sharp cornering
with a heavy load. If it's OK to use them, I'll keep them until the tyres
wear out then change them for standard. Are they OK to use? If not, anyone
got a set of standard alloys for sale?

Thanks all
Mike

Cats were an option on some models that year, and it's OK to remove as it's
not required to pass a CAT test being pre '92.

195/60x15 or 205/55x15 is the correct size, preferably on a wheel at least
6" wide.
