I recently bought my nephew his 1st car, a Volvo 740GLE. Prev owner promised it was mechanically sound with 247,000mi. it was poss. (only paid $475) ran and drove fine on trip home, on trip to title & reg. trans stopped working, shut off car for min. or 2 restarted drove a min. or two it stops again. Problem seems to relate to temp. of trans. prev. owner wont buy back Would want him in the car as long as repair is afforadable, have not taken car to mechanic yet hoping for do it yourself fix.
